As an Orthodox Christian, Mt Athos is certainly one of those places I’d love to visit (but realistically, probably never will).
Nice to see the Monks has some feline companionship.
Prehaps they heard the “one” about the Creation where on the evening ot the 6th day the Lord gathered all the magnificent creatures He’d created together and asked them how’d they liked themselves and His Creation. All the creatures were Joyful except the Cats.
The Lord noticed the Cats lack of enthusiasm and asked them: “What’s wrong? Why
aren’t you Happy like the rest of my Creatures? Did I do something wrong”?
The Cats answered back that they loved their sleek beauty, graceful lines & agility.
“Lord,” they said, “You didn’t do anything Wrong, You just FORGOT something!!!”
The Lord saith: “Forgot Something. Whatever do You mean?”
To which the Cats answered: “But Lord, We don’t have any Servants. You forgot
to create something To Serve Us”.
And so on the 7th Day, God created Man.
