I missed my shave today because of the pesto making, so am already thinking about tomorrow’s shave.

One of the challenges of using a superlather is the smell. Some soaps or creams are so unique and compelling in their fragrance that it is very difficult to find a complementary partner for the superlather. This is the case with the Roger & Gallete shave soap…a strongly perfumed puck that begs to be used alone. Since Summertime has made such a strong reappearance I think I’ll take advantage for a last hurrah of the season and go it alone. I’ve also been so impressed by the Wilkinson Sword blade that it seems a real shame to change it after only one shave (which has been my protocol these last few months). So I will use it again tomorrow…maybe even a few more times just to see how far it can go…talk about brinkmanship!
Hah! I just yesterday ordered a puck of Roger & Gallet shaving soap!

It is the most heavily perfumed soap I’ve ever encountered…should be called “solid cologne”. I can’t find anything unscented enough in a cream with which to make a decent superlather.
