Day 4 of the “Palmolive kit” and more importantly, Day 4 on the same Sputnik blade. Yesterday’s shave was really impressive and unexpected from a 3-day old blade. But could the blade go further? Certainly, readers who commented on my earlier post felt that it could…maybe even past 10 shaves! I am hesitant….you know my attitude, best expressed in an earlier post: “10% and The Law of Diminishing Returns”. Nevertheless, I am intrigued, and plan to go the full week on that same blade….barring any unforeseen collapse in its performance.

A wonderful shave! Unbelievable….the 4-day-old Sputnik was super smooth…not quite as sharp as yesterday, but more than up to the single-day growth of beard. Since I really want to stick to my “Summer” routine as long as possible (MR GLO and alum bar), I decided to compensate by finishing off with The Gentlemens Refinery Balm and their Moisturizing Cream…a killer combo for combating dryness in a non-irritating formula. The GR stuff is really top-notch IMHO. A splash of Coty Pure Vanilla and I was set for a gruelling day of meetings.
