SOTD – A genuine Schick blade

I threw out the remaining Ted Pella ersatz Schick injector blades after my not-so-hot shave yesterday (or should I say “hot” from irritation?). Put in a fresh genuine Schick blade in the 1940’s vintage Injector, lathered up with D.R. Harris’ lavender Shave Stick and the Old Vulfix lavender shave cream. Beautiful lather. The Schick did an excellent job but I could feel the leftover irritation from yesterday and stopped at three passes. The alum block told the tale…a stinging sensation that I soothed with some Hydrolast Conditioner. This is why it is important to use any given “kit” for a few shaves in order to really gauge its overall quality (Quality = Closeness + Comfort + Sensual Appeal).
