No, really, I’m on assignment in Northern Alberta and Manitoba for the next 9 days, to assess how swine veterinarians (no, not Arnold from Green Acres) make decisions about animal health issues. This for a major Pharma company.
I haven’t been to Alberta in many years and a few things struck me in driving from the Calgary airport to my next destination:
- The speed limit is 110 km/hr (very enlightened);
- You can very easily find Country & Western music on the radio (I like it!)
- The concept of the left lane for passing hasn’t quite made it here yet – drivers stay in the left lane at any speed and others pass on the right!
- The landscape is so different from out East – few trees, lots of farmland, rolling hills, cows with big horns!
I brought the trusty Leica with me and a few rolls of film….maybe I can do a photo essay…a visual Death of a Salesman as it were.
