Yesterday’s shipment from Enchanté (home of Method Shaving) included two of their new “shaving cloths”…a shmattah (Yiddish for “rag”) that looks like a very coarse and loosely woven piece of loofah. As soon as it touched the water, the shave cloth curled up into a nasty ball of thick rasta-hair that smelled like an old wool army blanket from an unwashed Mount Athos hermit. I laughed out loud when I saw it….$8 bucks for this? If I didn’t know what it was and hadn’t paid for it, I probably wouldn’t stoop to pick it up off the floor! Now, I’m really intrigued and can’t wait to try it on tomorrow’s full Method shave. The lengths your humble reviewer won’t go to to make sure you get a great shave!
P.S. I don’t know if the shave cloth is any good to shave with…but if it doesn’t work, it looks like you might be able to dry it and smoke it!
