First day “on the rag” as it were – the Hydrolast Shave Cloth – brought to us from the developers of Method Shaving at Enchanté.

My advice: Smoke it instead!

The good news: A terrific shave with a Swedish Gillette blade in the ne-plus-ultra E.J. Chatsworth razor, plus an absolutely glorious finish with the new Hydrolast Skin Conditioner in Lavender, and a generous splash of Booster June Clover (what a heavenly scent!). These all served to make up for the loathsome, irritating feel of the shave cloth which fails to create anything but the thinnest lather despite frequent reapplication of Cube and other Hydrolast products. As the old sailing Dutchman, Hans Bloek (rest his soul), once told me when I wanted to buy a particular sailboat that he had inspected for me: “Stay away young man…stay away!”.
