Shortly after my last week’s post pointing out that the Rivivage shave soap I had received from classicshaving.com did not appear to resemble either the product shots on its web site nor my own puck of Gold-Dachs, I received a call from Will, the owner of classicshaving, confirming that his own investigation showed a different product had been shipped by their European distributor, lacking the traditional G-D markings, scent, color, and packaging (apart from those differences it was identical ). He promised to provide further details as to what was going on once he had received a response from the distributor. In the meantime, you will notice that the product has been completely pulled from classicshaving’s web site. Let’s hope this gets sorted out quickly and the product availability is restored…this is one fine soap! Kudos to classicshaving for a speedy reaction.
