Our new Minister of Seniors’ Affairs has an interesting new idea for stimulating the elderly in nursing homes…..send in the clowns! Today’s Montreal Gazette has one of the best editorials I’ve ever read; it had me in stitches. Perhaps they should send in the journalist who wrote it instead of the clowns….I’m sure he or she would get more laughs than the “red-nosed, flower-squirting, floppy shoed sadists you see terrifying kids at some birthday parties”. Having spent many days and months with my mother in a nursing home after her massive stroke in 2005-2006, I can attest that had she seen a clown in her mentally compromised state it would probably have killed her with terror! Minister Blais….you are a nitwit!
