I almost died laughing while reading this…my wife thought she would have to call an ambulance. It brought back the only unpleasant memories I have of Mount Athos monasteries, especially in the early years of my visits. When I took my 14 year-old son there in 1999 he was constipated for a week from refusing to use the Turkish toilets. This is one hilarious article….plywood carpaccio indeed!
