I decided to give the Zorrik blade from India the ultimate shave test. A fresh blade. A superlather made from two of the greatest shave products on the market -the D.R. Harris Almond Shave Stick plus The GR Unscented Shave Cream – applied with the Simpson #10 vintage brush. Three classic passes and a finishing pass with The GR Pre-shave oil. The result: An excellent shave…a solid 9.4…BUT…the Zorrik was no match for the Treet Blue Special from Pakistan. It was good, mind you… on a par perhaps with a Derby or Astra – both excellent blades. But the Zorrik dragged just a little compared to the Treet…it was not quite as sharp or smooth IMHO. Of course, as in everything shaving related, YMMV. The alum block showed no irritation, and the shave was completed with The GR Balm and Cream, along with a generous splash of Jade East.
