Fixed gear bikes are all the rage among urban hipsters. I guess if you don’t have too many hills to climb, a fixer is not a bad idea; no gears to change, less weight on the bike, and a Hell of a workout (your legs never stop pedaling).
Now even a “garage” bike (so called because since it’s so poorly made it’s no fun to ride and spends all its time in your garage) will set you back $300-400, it’s astonishing to find a customized fixed gear bike with some nice componentry, delivered to your house for about $350!
Check out Kanasawa Bikes for what may be one of the best bike deals on the market. Very cool idea for customization.
Thanks to Mr. Dario for the find.
