This has been a crazy busy month, reflected in my postings to this blog, which now seem to come every 3rd or 4th day. We took on 4 major projects, all with tight delivery dates, and are paying the price in grueling days and late nights.
One of the side effects of being so professionally busy is that it allows little time for observation and reflection, at least about things unrelated to work. And, I’ve come to realize, that reflective time is essential in finding things to write about. Most writers will tell you that the key to writing is in listening and observing, something you can’t do too well when you’re concentrating on one thing all the time.
I’m “delivering” one of the projects later this morning, and hopefully that will take just enough of the load off to spend some time thinking and writing about more interesting stuff.
