Thanks to Archaeologist Daughter for pointing out that Anthony Bourdain did one of his “Layover” episodes in Montreal this past Summer. It’s excellent, and really does capture many of the places “real” Montrealers would go to. Somebody please tell me how this guy stays so thin. Make sure to view in full-screen mode.

Funny enough, my wife, daughter and I were at Jean-Talon Market just yesterday. The girls ate homemade sausages on a stick with homemade potato chips, from a sidewalk kiosk. I bought an obscene amount of dry-cured, nitrate-free, organic hams and sausages from the meat-artisans of the Charlevoix region.
