I must confess, I never read the Montreal Mirror, the recently defunct hipster newspaper that was freely distributed in almost every imaginable downtown venue. It’s a shame. I should have. But in the days when the Mirror was in full swing, I was in a different place, bogged down with family and work responsibilities and not too much into the cultural scene.

Fortunately, it’s not too late. The newspaper has been independently revived by some of its staff into an online version, CULT MTL. I liked it so much that I’ve made it part of my permanent tabs in Firefox. I’m not sure why I suddenly have this revived interest in the City’s fringier cultural activities; age-and-stage maybe.
